Event in Halle: Irish and Welsh Poetry

As part of the "150 Years of English Studies" festival week at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, Irish and Welsh poetry will be presented on June 29, 2026.

The week-long celebration of "150 Years of English Studies" will open on June 29, 2026, at 4 p.m. Following the opening (approximately 4:15–5:45 p.m.), there will be a reading of Irish and Welsh poems from various periods and dialects, each with a short introduction and subsequent English translation. The event "Irish & Welsh Poetry" shows the diversity of the Department of English and American Studies at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg.
